This second installation was an extension of the thought process in its first installment, but I wanted to navigate clay’s characteristics and apply a personal narrative to it. The form was made to mimic the length of an average person’s height and intended to evoke the presence / absence of a body. Historically man-made mounds have a commemorative function. The work contemplates processes of mourning.
