This free-form sculpture is a simultaneous portrait of my mother, my grandmother and myself, and pays homage to feminine sacrifice, embodied pain, gendered and racial violence, and embraces vulnerability as resilience. Ceramic here becomes a substitute for the disabled body - equally strong and fragile, and requires handling with care.
